SPECIAL TERMS for 2024 SALES:
All sales made on this site are final and nonrefundable. We can assist with transfers if your plans change and another qualified buyer is found, but we cannot cancel any completed orders.
All on-site guests must complete Play On Con membership pre-registration before attending. This includes complying with any pre-registration requirements set by the convention, the host property, and/or any applicable government entity. Possible pre-registration requirements include providing proof of age/identity, verification of payment, waiver of liability, and/or a current negative COVID test. Any such requirements will be communicated by Play On Con management, emailed to the address you provide with this order. Any person who fails to complete our pre-registration process before attending will forfeit any purchases related to their on-site attendance.
Certain areas of the property may be off limits to Play On Con attendees, and some activities may be limited to specific locations (Ex: designated smoking area). Instructions from Play On Con and/or Alabama 4-H Center management in this regard must be followed.
Property services such as the hotel front desk and housekeeping may be limited or unavailable. Essential services will be facilitated by Play On Con staff.
Price includes a single LOWER bunk in an Alabama 4-H Center cottage for three nights and all applicable taxes ($25/nt, 3 nights, 11% tax). Cottages have a total of 13 twin beds (7 lower bunks and 6 upper bunks). Please note that if you order this product your assigned bed will be in a shared bunkhouse with up to 12 strangers, and the doors to your building will need to remain unlocked in order for your cabinmates to be able to come and go at all times.
Check-in is at 4PM on Thursday of our convention, and check-out is on Sunday at 10AM. Late check-in will be possible at any hour, or even on a later date, but check-out can be no later than 10AM. Due to other scheduled summer camp groups, there is no option to extend cottage reservations beyond the three main nights of the convention.
The 4-H Center cottages are pretty unusual if you're accustomed to regular hotel rooms. There aren't any TVs, telephones, coffee pots, or other such amenities. There are six bunks with two beds each, plus a single twin (total of 13 twin beds), and you're provided with sheets, towels, and a blanket for each bed. You may want to bring additional blankets, and you'll definitely want to bring your own shampoo/conditioner, as well as extra towels for the pool.
There are five total cottages and together they share two separate bathhouses. There are no bathrooms or showers inside the cottages themselves. There are a couple of power outlets, but you may want to bring a power strip if you'll need to plug in more than a few things. WiFi and cell signal are not always great in the cottages, but the Center has made significant improvements in the last year. These buildings are generally used for 4-H campers, of course, but we think you'll find them to be a fun and unique con experience!
